We measure each room, check the slab or subfloor for flatness and test for moisture, since those readings decide which products and underlayment will hold up.

Selection and Acclimation
You choose materials room by room. Products that call for acclimation sit in the house for the time the manufacturer specifies before they go down.

Removal and Prep
Old flooring and adhesive are removed and hauled away, then the subfloor is ground, patched or leveled to the tolerance the new floor requires.

Installation
Tile, LVP, laminate or wood goes down with the underlayment, vapor barrier and expansion gaps the product calls for.

Trim and Walkthrough
Baseboards, transitions and door clearances are finished, then we walk every room with you and go over care for the new floor.

How long does a flooring installation typically take?
Timelines depend on square footage, material type, and whether removal of old flooring is involved. Tile generally takes longer than LVP or laminate because of setting and grouting time. We walk through an estimated timeline as part of your project plan.
What’s the difference between hardwood and luxury vinyl plank (LVP)?
Hardwood offers a classic look and can be refinished over time, but it’s more sensitive to moisture. LVP is more water- and scratch-resistant and often a better fit for kitchens, bathrooms, and homes with pets or kids. We help you weigh the tradeoffs for your specific rooms.
Is tile a good choice outside of bathrooms and kitchens?
Tile works well anywhere durability and moisture resistance matter, including entryways, laundry rooms, and Florida-style living areas that stay warm and humid. It’s a less common choice for bedrooms, mainly due to comfort underfoot.
How long does it take to remove old flooring before installation?
Removal time depends on the existing material and square footage — carpet comes out faster than tile, which often requires more careful demolition. We factor removal time into your overall project timeline.
Will my baseboards need to be replaced?
It depends on the condition of your existing baseboards and how much the new flooring changes the finished floor height. In many cases, we replace baseboards to get a clean, properly scribed fit against the new floor.
Do you check for floor leveling before installation?
Yes. An uneven subfloor can cause new flooring to squeak, shift, or develop gaps over time, so we check and address leveling issues as part of the preparation process before any material goes down.
How do you handle moisture concerns, especially over a concrete slab?
We assess moisture levels in the subfloor and use appropriate vapor barriers and underlayment for the material and room, since Central Florida’s humidity and slab construction make moisture protection an important part of a lasting installation.
Can you remove old carpet and haul it away?
Yes. Carpet removal and disposal are handled as part of the project, along with an inspection of the subfloor underneath before new flooring is installed.
How durable is new flooring with pets and kids in the house?
Durability depends on the material — LVP and tile generally hold up best to scratches, spills, and heavy foot traffic, while hardwood requires more care around moisture and scratching. We help you match material to your household.
