Davenport grew recently and grew fast, along the corridor where Polk County meets the resort economy. What makes Davenport interesting to work in is that a lot of those houses are now changing purpose. Others are moving the other way, and a house finished for a family is asked to absorb far heavier and far less careful use than it was ever built for.
